Participation and Requirements

This multi-institutional trial is open to all centers participating in the registry. Preconditions to participation are experience with major liver resections and documentation of having performed at least 5 ALPPS cases prior to participation due to the learning curve with this quite complex procedure.

Approval of the respective local ethics committee/IRB is a compulsory prerequisite for participation in the study. To speed up the process with your local IRB, we will provide participating centers with the following templates of our IRB-application:

• Study protocol (english)
• Synopsis of study protocol (english and german)
• Patient informed consent (german, english translation in preparation)

Documents must of course be adapted to local/national requirements and laws.

Ensurance of local on-site monitoring is highly recommended.
